A Guide to Dining in Breckenridge

Over the years, Breckenridge has evolved to become quite the tourist destination for people from all over the world. With this comes an abundance of different cultures and cuisines. Whether you’re looking for Mexican food, a classic bar and grille, pizza, or anything in between, the Breckenridge dining scene is sure to have something that everyone will enjoy. 

Different Types of Cuisine

After a long day of recreation and exploration in our beautiful mountain town, you are probably looking for somewhere to get a good bite to eat. Well, you’re in luck, because Breckenridge has no shortage of restaurants. If you have some picky eaters with you or you are looking for a fun atmosphere, a great place to go is Downstairs at Eric’s. This is your classic sports bar and they serve everything from burgers, wings, pizza, and so on. The atmosphere is great and includes several TVs and a large arcade to keep you entertained. Another great restaurant with a typical American menu is Empire Burger. Located on the south end of town, this is a local and tourist favorite. Despite what you may think, Empire Burger serves more than just burgers. They have a menu full of chicken, salads, and sandwiches as well.

There are also a number of Italian restaurants within the town limits. If you’re interested in primarily pizza, Fatty’s Pizzeria is a great option. With a large menu and all of your classic pizza toppings, Fatty’s has a great environment and even better pizza. For a bigger variety of Italian options, Giampietro Pasta & Pizzeria. Everything on the menu is made in-house and includes all of the Italian favorites like pasta, pizza, calzones, and much more!

Of course, you can find a number of Authentic Mexican restaurants if that’s what you’re craving. Sancho Tacos & Tequilas offers a variety of tacos, burritos, margaritas, and all of your other favorites from South of the border. Similarly, Mi Casa serves traditional Mexican dishes including nachos, fajitas, and so much more.

Maybe you’re looking for a nice, quiet night out with your significant other. There are a number of upscale options in Breckenridge too. Hearthstone serves up some incredible seafood, beef and game, and in-season homegrown produce. On top of that, the restaurant has beautiful views of the Breckenridge ski area. Briar Rose Chophouse & Saloon is also another great option. This high-end restaurant has been serving premier beef and wild game in Breckenridge’s downtown for decades. 

A Wide Variety of Happy Hours

As you venture off of the mountain and are searching for a good deal après ski, there are multiple Breckenridge dining options that offer great happy hours. Many of the aforementioned dining options have fabulous happy hour deals and one of them is sure to feature something that will make your mouth water without draining your wallet dry. Rootstalk has great deals on a number of food items as well as some incredible drink deals. Motherloaded Tavern and Ember, both offer all of your favorite alcoholic beverages and appetizers at a great price too. Some locations even offer late night happy hours perfect for when you need a midnight snack!
